Hi, my name is Ante Tomas and I’m the founder of CoffeeParadiso.com.
I’m from Croatia – a country in Southeast Europe where drinking coffee is a ritual.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve been surrounded by coffee (in this part of the world, one of the most popular gifts, when you visit someone at their home, is to bring a bag of pre-ground coffee). As a kid, my first attempts were brewing Turkish coffee for my parents and their friends. Later on, during my late teens and 20s, I had been sharpening my barista skills working part-time at my father’s cafe. That’s where I learned how to brew espresso and other espresso-based drinks.
Back then, I wasn’t aware of the fact that you can prepare a perfect tasting espresso cup at home. I started researching, buying equipment, experimenting, and after a lot of trial and error, I reached a point where I can prepare a pretty damn good espresso without the need to go out and visit a coffee shop.
Knowing that the best way to learn is to teach others, I wanted to reach more people and show what I’ve learned so far.
Being a web developer by trade, it was a natural thing for me to build a site where I can share my tips, tricks, product reviews, coffee guides, and much more with you guys. So that you can indulge yourself with a perfect cup of joe in the coziness of your own home. I try to give honest reviews of products so that you can save some time and money when you decide to invest in your barista skills.
